Overview

Maryland has developed a Voluntary State Curriculum. This curriculum defines what students should know and be able to do at each grade, preK through 8, in four content areas: reading/English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. It also defines what students should know and be able to do in tenth-grade reading.
