Maryland Kids Care: Collecting for Katrina Victims

In the statewide initiative, “Maryland Kids Care: Collecting Pennies (and more) for the Victims of Hurricane Katrina,” students from more than 600 public schools across Maryland collected money to help with humanitarian aid during September 2005. The students voluntarily collected more than $1.3 million dollars for the victims and their families. The following schools received recognition by the State for their efforts: See List
